Donnchadh Doyle reaches milestone in his career

Donnchadh Doyle reaches milestone in his career

The Wexford-based handler recorded his 100th winner on Sunday when his charge Art of Logistics, secured victory in Ballyragget in the Connollys Red Mills horse feed open, in the hands of his younger brother Gearoid Doyle carrying the well-known Monbeg colours.

Currently in joint-fourth position with his brother Sean in the point-to-point handler’s championship, Donnchadh began training in 2011 and has become a well known producer in the point-to-point sphere of four and five-year-old maidens.

Adios Alonoso supplied Donnchadh with his first winner in Taylorstown in April 2011 and joins the long list of names to have graduated from the Monbeg team.

Recent names to have passed through Doyles base include last season’s most expensive point-to-point winning mare Redhotfillypeppers, who made a winning start for her connections in Punchestown in December and the recent Cheltenham Champion bumper placed runner Claimantakinforgan, who won his maiden in impressive fashion at Loughanmore last april.
