WEEKEND PREVIEW: Ballysteen (Sunday)

WEEKEND PREVIEW: Ballysteen (Sunday)

Race 1: Goffs Punchestown Sale 4yo Maiden

A total of 38 entries for race one and ITSAMANSLIFE is taking to score for the in-form Denis Murphy. The Mahler gelding finished third on debut and have shown slight signs of inexperience close to the finish, he is sure to have improved plenty for the experience. Un Huit Huit travelled smoothly on debut and is bound to improve with her initial effort behind her. Dozay De Clermont for Sean Doyle looks the pick of the remainder with form to their name. Of the newcomers Mytermsoryours and Denwork are worthy of consideration.

Race 2: Tattersalls Ireland 5yo Geldings Maiden

OVER STATED looked sure to finished second at Monksgrange recently and despite coming to grief at the final fence, looks the most likely winner of this contest. Must Havea Flutter failed to build on the improvement he had shown but if able to bounce back here, he would rate a danger. Orchard Lane, Ringmoylan and The Ogle Gogle Man look best of the rest.

Race 3: Dunraven Arms Hotel & Enzos, Limerick Open

SPRINTINGFORGOLD has done nothing wrong since making his debut at Loughanmore in 2014. Six wins from eight runs, the Gold Well gelding produced another top class effort to win by six-lengths at Quakerstown recently. He is taken to continue the good run if lining out again quickly. Ourmanmassini was unlucky to fall when taking on the selection recently and another clash would be interesting to see if the result will be the same. Western Man and Sir Des Champs look best away from the leading two.

Race 4: Davy Mann & Newcastle West Stores 5yo Mares Maiden

KILNESARE KATE showed enough on debut to warrant respect here but further enhanced her claims by improving to finish second at Dromahane earlier this month. Trained by Leslie Young, she travelled and jumped well and if continuing to improve, she could be tough to beat here. Sweet Lady Jane for William Burke and Working On A Dream for the same trainer look the dangers.

Race 5: Cois Sionna Credit Union Winners of Two

RATTLE THE CAGE gained a deserved success at Durrow last month when beating a next time out winner in good style. The Mahler gelding looks to be improving with each run and can play a leading role here. Pop The Champers is also a recent winner and looks a danger coming from the in-form Denis Murphy team. Eddies Miracle looks best of the remainder.

Race 6: Top Of The Town, Askeaton 6yo Geldings Maiden

Trainer Donnchadh Doyle could hardly be in better form at the moment and looks to have another live chance in the form of STINGTHEBOOKIES. Third behind the selection in the previous race recently, he looks sure to improve on that and go close in this competitive event. Insufient Funds for Tom Keating, Boysies Lad for Brain Cawley and Flaxen Moonshine for Donal Hassett look best of the remainder.
