Race 1: 4yo Mares Maiden
LETITBESO made her competitive debut when finishing third in a hot looking contest at Inch last week finishing third behind the well-bred Victoria Bay. That form would leave her as the one to beat. Go Millie Go is another mare with placed form to her name, whilst Jennifer Junniper made nice late ground at Bellurgan Park to take fourth earlier this month, and that pair can both get involved here.
Race 2: Goffs Punchestown Sale 4yo Geldings Maiden
TURTLE WARS was a beaten favourite at Inch on debut, however that was in a very competitive race. Far from disgraced with an encouraging third-placed effort behind an impressive winner, he can be expected to progress to go close in this contest. Diamond Boy shaped well on debut at Horse & Jockey before coming down at the last and is capable of getting involved, whilst Risky Gold and Classic Ben are others with previous form worth considering.
Race 3: Dore & Co Solicitors 5yo Geldings Maiden
HAPPY LAD caught the eye on debut when finishing third behind the impressive Global Citizen at Bellurgan Park. Without a final fence error on that occasion, he could well have been closer which ensures a big run can be expected. Bumper third Some Response returned between the flags when placing at Tyrella last month and he represents an in-form yard who had a brace of winners last weekend. Le Aqua, Ceatharlach and Castletown final fence faller Robin De Broome are others of note.
Race 4: Merriebelle Stable Open 4yo
A valuable prize has been put up for the feature race on the card and it would look a wide-open race. SIR DES CHAMPS, a former Grade 1 winner and previous runner-up in a Cheltenham Gold Cup, has finished placed in each of his last three starts between the flags and enters the race in good form. Mart Lane has been a busty campaigner of late as he could turn out for the third week on the bounce, but he put his a bold showing at Loughanmore on Monday, although slightly flattered by the winning distance to an easy winner. Aces And Kings returns to defend his crown from 12 months ago, whilst the consistent Free Of Charge and Rosc Catha are other potentials.
Race 5: Gain Horse Feeds 6yo Geldings Maiden
KEEPHIMBACKWILLIAM has been knocking on the door this season and with three placed efforts already to his name he would be a deserving winner of this. Circuit Court has hit the cross bar on his last two outings, and he bumped into an above average winner in this grade at Stradbally on Monday to suggest he could be the main danger. Boysies Taken and Theatre One were both disappointing last time but have good form in the book, whilst Our Harry ran well for a long way at Oldcastle last Sunday.
Race 6: Bar Racing Club 5yo Mares Maiden
CARASY was far from discredited on debut at Lingstown in a hot maiden which was won by Maire Banrigh who subsequently set a record for the price of a pointing mare at the sales ring. The form of that race has already received a boost with the fourth-place finisher coming out and scoring at Courtown. She should be the one to beat in this. Rathbawn Rose lost ground at the start at Bellurgan Park recently which did not aid her cause in a strongly run race, whilst Miss Illusion enters the race on the back of a career best at Oldcastle last Sunday.
