The Limerick Harriers who host their annual point-to-point on Sunday 3rd March 2019 will be moving to a new venue this year at Ballycahane.
The Limerick Harriers traditionally held their meeting at the infamous Lemonfield track.
The new track at Ballycahane is a full grass track with no gaps. It is a relatively flat left-handed track with a slight uphill finish. There are two fences on the back straight and two on the home straight with one other. The track is a good viewing track and can be seen by spectators on the hill.
The track itself is very accessible, there is one gate in and its downhill to the exit gate.
The track is approximately 2 miles from Limerick racecourse.
Directions from Dublin:
Take M7 and follow to L1407 to Limerick. Take the Limerick Racecourse exit on M20, drive pass the racecourse and continue until T junction at the church. Turn right and continue for approximately half a mile and the point-to-point track is on the right. (It will be well sign-posted)
The original races stand, entries for this meeting close on Tuesday 26th February at 12noon.
