Video Archives | Loughbrickland 2003

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2003 season.

The next fixture to be added to the video archive section is the County Down Staghounds point-to-point meeting at Loughbrickland.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

Aran-Na-Pogue took the opening adjacent winners of one race at Loughbrickland when coming home in front by three lengths with Aaron Stronge in the saddle.

Kithou and Brian Hamilton were on the scoresheet early when claiming the four and five-year-old geldings maiden.

The winners of two contest went the way of Robert Patton and Gauppo Bay, the pair stayed on gamely from the last for an eight-length victory over Glenalla Sam.

Brea Donnelly came home in front aboard Royal Toast to claim the ladies open lightweight

Fair Kiowa and Jim Keeling took the six-year-old and upwards gelding maiden in good fashion.

The concluding race of the day, the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden saw Simon McGonagle aboard Nelsons Nell and Mark O’Hare aboard Whadouno share the spoils as a dead heat was called.
