Video Archives | Castletown Geoghegan 2003

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2003 season.

The Westmeath Foxhounds point-to-point fixture at Castletown-Geoghegan is the next meeting to feature in the video archives section.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

The opening race at the Westmeath Foxhounds point-to-point fixture at Castletown-Geogheghan was won in good style by Kid Du Forez and John Thomas McNamara.

Room To Room Suite claimed the second race on the card, the four and five-year-old geldings  maiden in the hands of J D Moore.

The father and son team of Brian and Donie Hassett combined to land the four and five-year-old mares maiden with Burren Moonshine. Burren Moonshine was the Dam of Galvin who was a successful sort under rules for owner Ronnie Bartlett.

Jack Bennett was in the winners enclosure when winning the six-year-old mares maiden with Leodotcom.

Ballalley Lad supplied Brian and Donie Hassett with their second winner of the afternoon when winning the six-year-old geldings maiden.

The concluding race of the day, the seven-year-old and upwards maiden saw a thrilling finish with Gumshoe Eddie and Johnny Maguire share the spoils with Paddy’s Secret and Brian Hamilton.
