Video Archives | Comber 2004

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2004 season.

The North Down Foxhounds point-to-point fixture at Comber is the next meeting to be added from 2004.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

James Griffin continued his good run when winning the opening winners of two contest at Comber aboard Lord Rockfield.

It was a dramatic conclusion to the five-year-old geldings maiden with Forresto and Derek O’Connor and Imalright and James Smyth fighting it out from before the last.  The latter slipped up and unshipped his rider when short of room entering the straight and Forresto subsequently lost the race. Vest And Veins was declared the eventual winner with Saul McHugh aboard.

Join The Queue and Andrew Duff were on the scoresheet when claiming the six-year-old geldings maiden in good fashion.

Lotto Lolly added another success to his tally when running out an impressive winner of the ladies open under Liz Doyle.

Brian Hamilton was in the winners enclosure when landing the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden aboard Christys Pet.

Division one of the seven-year-old and upwards gelding maiden was claimed by Commanche Whorl in the hands of Jimmy Henry.

The concluding race of the day, division two of the seven-year-old and upwards geldings maiden saw Brian Hamilton record his second winner of the afternoon when winning aboard Influential for James Lambe.
