Weekend Preview: Ballindenisk 29th November

Kruzhlinin showed he has retained a good deal of his old ability when chasing home the talented performer Some Man on his season return at Tinahely.

Tattersalls Ireland 4YO Maiden

BRORSON was no match for the impressive Jim Key when finishing second at Lisronagh earlier in the month and he could well go one better in this. The obvious alternative would be Champ Is Real who came from behind and was arguably finishing best of all at Knockmullen House when a close third earlier last month which certainly brings him into the reckoning with a large number of newcomers also sure to play their part including some well related individuals.

5&6 Geldings Maiden

KILBEG KING would look the obvious choice for this as he beat two subsequent winners when finishing second on his one and only start at Tinahely back in January. His conqueror on that occasion, Folcano, was sold for a six-figure price subsequently and ran with credit on his stable debut at Navan last weekend to advertise the form. Festin Dun Soir has been improving with each outing this term and a continuation of that progression would not leave him far away, alongside Different Strokes who has built up a good deal of experience now.

5YO+ Mares Maiden

If taking up this engagement, CLONMOYLE may be the one to beat on the promise she showed when second at Dromahane earlier in the month, as it would not take much further improvement to get her head in front. New Money has plenty of placed form to her name but she disappointed on her return at Fairyhouse recently, which may leave the ultra-consistent Rachels Surprise as the main danger, alongside the likes of Shanavoun Lady, Sunrise Beach and Current Mood.

5YO+ Adjacent Maiden

GET SUPREME was no match for Anglers Crag in the recent point-to-point bumper at Fairyhouse, however the drop into adjacent maiden company should well be rewarded here for this son of Getaway who was so narrowly denied at Carrigarostig at the beginning of the year. Slideway, Broomfield Boy and Believe That would look next best.

Open

KRUZHLININ (pictured above) may have spent all of last season on the sidelines, however the former champion pointer showed that he retained a good deal of his old ability when chasing home the talented open performer Some Man at Tinahely recently. He would look to be the best of the previous open winners in here who will come up against a number of talented track recruits, including the Willie Mullins pairing of Dragon Destruval and Le Mercury, and their former stablemate Pairofbrowneyes, who was a leading contender for the last two Irish Nationals before departing in the early stages on both occasions.

Mares Winners of Two

Breakeven is the only horse to have inflicted a defeat on ASKTHEBOSSLADY so far in her career, and as he has gone on to win enjoy success under rules, the form of her two Borris House outings stands up to scrutiny to suggest she should be capable of getting her head in front once again. Getawayrooney and Kates Hill finished one-two at Curraghmore last month, whilst Kind Witness gained a deserved success last week at Boulta having also previously run well against geldings in open company.
