Video Archives | Necarne 2004

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2004 season.

The Fermanagh (H) two day fixture at Necarne are the next meetings to be added to the archive section from 2004.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

The opening race of the two-day Necarne fixture, the four-year-old maiden was won by Savati in the hands of James Gault.

Holey Moley was in the winners enclosure once again when landing the winners of three contest with Gordon Elliott aboard.

Lord Gortmerron and Rory Lavery were impressive winners of the four and five-year-old when coming home a distance clear of the remainder.

It was a battle of the Kidd sisters in the ladies open with Jackie Kidd aboard Twotiming Gent and Jennifer Kidd aboard Match Maker battling it out all the way to the line. It was the latter who prevailed with Jennifer carrying the colours of her soon to become father-in-law Derek Pugh.

It was a day to remember for the IHRB Chief Medical officer as this was her first winner between the flags.

The six-year-old and upwards mares maiden was won in good fashion by Andrew Lynch aboard Russian Past

The concluding race of the day, the six-year-old and upwards geldings maiden was claimed by Fortriver under the guidance of Derek O’Connor.
