Closing date for Fairyhouse Hunters Chase & P2P Bumpers

The point-to-point day at Fairyhouse will take place on Tuesday 9th November, there are three races on the card that pointers are eligible for.  Details of races below.

Entries for this meeting close on Thursday 4th November at 12 noon, with declarations to be made by 10am Sunday 7th November.

Winner will receive €8,100 (Penalty Value: €7,965) Second will receive €2,700 Third will receive €1,350 Fourth will receive €675 Fifth will receive €405 Sixth will receive €270

A steeplechase for † Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have between 6th October, 2018 and 3rd November, 2021 been placed either first, second, third or fourth in a Point-to-Point Steeplechase or in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase in Ireland and that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing after 1st March, 2021 other than a Certified Hunters Steeplechase or a Farmers Race.

Winner will receive €9,600 (Penalty Value: €9,440) Second will receive €3,200 Third will receive €1,600 Fourth will receive €800 Fifth will receive €480 Sixth will receive €320

An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven years old mares only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing that are EBF eligible and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Point-To-Point steeplechase in Ireland since 5th October, 2019

All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2021/2022 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 3rd November or the horse will not be qualified to start.

The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2021/2022 season. HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply.

(i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-To-Point steeplechase since 5th October, 2019.

(ii) The number of horses declared will be then reduced by balloting those horses that have not won more than one Point-To-Point steeplechase since 5th October, 2019.

(iii) In the event of Paragraphs (i) and (ii) not achieving the recommended limit a random ballot will then be applied to the remaining horses. (The winning owner in this race will receive a €5,000 bonus should the winning filly be eligible for the Weatherbys Ireland/I.T.B.A. N.H. Fillies Bonus Scheme)
