PREVIEW | United (F) at Ballindenisk - Saturday

Having skipped a potential engagement at Boulta last Sunday, the reigning champion hunter chaser Billaway could make his return to action at Ballindenisk.

Race 1 – Noel Loftus Flooring & Gallaghers Gastro Pub 4YO Maiden

MONTYS STAR, a half-brother of the Grade 1 winner Monalee, was narrowly denied on his debut at Tattersalls in the spring and it is noteworthy that he returns for another attempt at a maiden despite having run so promisingly on debut.

Spectacular Genius only found the more experienced Hermes Allen too good at Kirkistown on his debut which should leave him as one of the chief dangers alongside the Damma House third Special Rate.

Race 2 – Tattersalls NH 5YO+ Geldings Maiden

QUITE INCREDIBLE was just two lengths in arrears of the highly-touted and recent maiden hurdle winner Ginto when finishing third in a Fairyhouse bumper at the turn of the year. That was his second time finishing in the first three in a bumper and he could take this for Nina Carberry.

Lisloran took a big step forward when he finished a close third in a smart-looking Quakerstown maiden recently whilst Twilight Glory, Drop Him In and Just A Diem are others to consider.

Race 3 – Chanceit.ie Open

The reigning champion hunter chaser BILLAWAY has not run in the pointing fields since he won a Ballinaboola maiden back in February 2018 for Tracey Gilmour, and having gone close last term at both the Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals, he would look very tough to beat.

The Tetretema Cup winner Solomn Grundy is sure to have improved for his return effort at Damma House and the recent race fitness that both he and Mighty Stowaway will have over the selection could make things interesting.

Race 4 – Johnnys Restaurant & Takeaway 5YO+ Adjacent Maiden

DESERT HEATHER bumped into an above-average maiden winner in ROSA GLORIOSA at Kildorrery recently and she could go one better with the switch to adjacent company.

Calling Arc was still very much in contention at Boulta when coming down at the third last, and although we have not seen much of him in competitive action over the last two years, he would look the main danger.

Race 5 - Shane & Michael O’Riordan Ltd Livestock Transport 5YO+ Mares Maiden

RULE OF JUNE has been getting closer with each outings this term and having only been denied by less than two lengths at Knockmullen House on her most recent effort, it might not take much further improvement to go one place better.

Desert Heather has the option of the adjacent maiden on this card and so it may be the likes of Queshi Bridge that provides the greatest opposition to the selection.

Race 6 – Commerical Vehicle Components Ltd Mares Winner of Two

ASKTHEBOSSLADY may not have made much of an impact on her hurdling debut at Kilbeggan during the summer, however her second to Breakeven at Borris House looks to be the pick of what is on offer in this as she bids to produce a better performance than she had produced in this race last year.

Croi Corcra has won two of her last three and therefore comes into this race in good form and that recent race fitness will be an asset.
