New date and venue for Goffs UK November point-to-point sale

The Goffs UK November P2P Sale, a new sale for 2020, is now to be held at Yorton Farm Stud in Wales on the new date of Wednesday 11 November due to Doncaster being placed into a Level 3 lockdown from Saturday 24 October.

The dedicated point-to-point sale, which will be the first outlet for pointers this autumn, was due to be held on Friday 6 November but government restrictions have led to a mandatory change in location.

Goffs UK Managing Director Tim Kent commented:

“Yorton is a proven sales venue and has already sold National Hunt horses for six-figure sums. This will be the third Goffs sale at this location, which is ideally located for clients from both sides of the Irish Sea, and is a venue that is already well known to the NH industry.

“The sales area is ideally suited to delivering a safe and compliant environment as it is outdoors but has good cover for attendees if the weather is inclement.

“We are very grateful to David Futter and the Yorton team for accommodating us during these unprecedented times. It is a further example of the bloodstock industry working together and we are confident that we will be able to deliver a world-class sale at a venue we know and trust.”

Leading point-to-point handler, Donnchadh Doyle of Monbeg Stables, said of the recent announcement:

“I think this is a great idea and I’m really thankful to the Goffs team for being so proactive with the rescheduling of this sale. I have bought horses at Yorton in the past and believe that this is an excellent sales venue.

“It is close to the Ferry port and easy for us to get to but it is also well known to many of the leading NH buyers so I have full confidence that this will be a success.”
