 SUMMARY

• John Queally takes the title for the second year in a row. 17 winners were enough this time to put him four ahead of Ted Walsh on 13.
• The season began on the 1st February at Gowran with the Carlow Farmers Fixture.
• Again there was no Ladies award but Rosemary Stewart scored 5 winners to finish one ahead of Caroline Beasley
• On the 3rd May Glory Road won a six year old and upwards maiden at Fairyhouse under a young Tony Martin who was having his first winner. The horse was owned by F H Ward.
• A week later on the 10th May Michael Phillips got off the mark riding Hardy Glen for T Wade at Bartlemy.
