The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have modified the Rules to permit horses for which Master of Hounds Certificates have been registered with the Jockey Club and which are eligible to run in Hunters Steeplechases in Great Britain to run in this race. However, horses with a Master of Hounds Certificate that have run in any race other than a Hunters' Steeplechase since 1st November, 2018 are excluded.

All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2018/2019 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 16th April or the horse will not be qualified to start. N.B.
The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2018/2019 season.

HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply.
(i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-to-Point steeplechase since 6th October, 2018.
(ii) The number of horses declared will be then reduced by balloting those horses that have not won more than one Point-ToPoint steeplechase since 6th October, 2018.
(iii) In the event of Paragraphs (i) and (ii) not achieving the recommended limit a random ballot will then be applied to the remaining horses.
