11 Declared for Gowran Point-To-Point Bumper

11 horses have been declared for the Best Of Luck Ballyhale Shamrocks Point-To-Point Flat Race at Gowran Park on Saturday. The ground at Gowran Park is currently sort and the €10,000 contest is set to be run over 2m2f.

There are a number of interesting sorts in the line-up including two four-year-old maiden winners from last Autumn.

Minella Melody made her only start a winning one for John Nallen when taking the four-year-old mares’ maiden at Boulta in December. The daughter of Flemensfirth makes her first start for the Henry De Bromhead stable here.

Saint Benedict was also a very impressive four-year-old maiden winner at Rathcannon back in the November. Trained by Enda Bolger, the son of Milan makes his racecourse debut here having unseated on his last start between-the-flags in winners’ company.

Another interesting contender from the Henry De Bromhead stable is Full Time Score, as the five-year-old makes his seasonal reappearance here, since being sold to Chris Jones after finishing runner-up in a four-year-old maiden at Knockanard last season.

Kieran Purcell looks set to saddle Solo Cargo, who returns to the track here after winning a five-year-old geldings’ maiden at Kilfeacle in January and this son of Salutino could also be an interesting contender.

Runners Carrigmoorna Pine, Getaway Totherock and Kalli’s Quest are all maiden winners in their own right, while Jack Hackett, Miss Pernickety and Oscar Bonnie bring placed form to the table in what looks a competitive contest.
