Entries Online for the Tipperary p2p evening and the Down Royal Hunters Chase

Down Royal is set to host a 2m 7f Hunters Chase on Mondays Bank holiday fixture, which is confined to horses that have not won more than 2 Hunters Chase.

The €10,000 contest has attracted eight entries, including three-time point-to-point winner - Complete Sizing, Statford Champion Hunter Chase winner - Chosen Dream and the David Christie-trained Winged Leader who was second around this venue back in March.

On Thursday, Tipperary will host it’s annual point-to-point evening with a novice hunters chase, a mares’ p2p bumper and a geldings’ p2p bumper set to take place.

The 2m 7f Hunters Chase has attracted an entry of 16 horses. Recent Cork hunters chase winner’s Casey Jem and Osca Loca are amongst the entries, while the Willie Mullins-trained Billaway could be interesting here. With a host of maiden winners also entered this looks a competitive heat.

Both bumpers are sponsored by p2p.ie and the mares’ contest has attracted an entry of 15. The likes of Dime A Dozen, Fort Worth Texas and James Mangan’s Monty’s Article are all multiple winners in the point-to-point sphere and are sure to play major roles here.
Combined with a number of decent maiden winners there appears to be plenty of depth this year’s renewal.

The concluding geldings’ bumper has a similar entry of 16 and has attracted a number of interesting prospects. Almost half of the field are maiden winners’ between-the-flags, with a good portion of the remainder having placed form to their names.
The likes of Banner Rebel, Doyen Dancer, Getaway Pat, Mr Hendrix and Groody River could be very interesting here.
