Leading stallions enjoy further pointing success

The top five stallions leading this season each recorded success in points last weekend. Getaway currently stands at the top of the table with 31 winners to his name while Milan and Gold Well are close behind with 28 and 27 winners. Fleminsfirth lies in fourth with 22 winners and Yeats takes up fifth place with 18.

Getaway

The current leader added to his tally when Getaway Fred recorded success in  the five-year-old geldings maiden at Dawston. Owned and handled by Pat Crowley, the gelding ran out a two-length winner in the hands of John Barry.

Gold Well

Gold Well brought his tally up to 27 over the weekend when Mt Leinster Gold found success for Colin Bowe in the five-year-old mares maiden at Dawstown. The Anthony Kearns-owned mare followed up her promising second place debut at Monksgrange with an eight-length victory here.

Flemensfirth

Wilson Dennison and Colin McKeever recorded success in the five-and-six-year-old geldings maiden at Broughshane on Saturday. Eskylane ran out a five-length winner when quickening clear of the field before the final fence.

Yeats

Broomhill gave Yeats his 18th winner of the season when claiming the adjacent maiden at Broughshane. The five-year-old was getting off the mark at the seventh time of asking for the Colin McKeever and Wilson Dennison partnership once again.
