Video Archives | Crumlin 2000

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  We are starting with the 2000 videos.

The Killultagh, Old Rock and Chichester Hunt point-to-point at Crumlin in May 2000 is the next meeting to be added.

Below gives a brief re-cap of what happened on the day.

Ebony Reef took the opening confined hunt race at Crumlin in the hands of C Andrews

Saul McHugh was in the winner’s enclosure at Crumlin after he landed the winners of two contest aboard Truckers Tavern.  Truckers Tavern then went on to be placed in a gold cup behind Best Mate in 2003.

Lady So Sharp showed a nice turn of foot when pulling clear of Princess Red on the run-in to claim the four-year-old and upwards mares maiden in the hands of Liam Lennon.

It was quick double for Northern based rider Liam Lennon who went on to win the open lightweight aboard Red Glitter.

Jimmy Ryan entered the winner’s enclosure at Crumlin after he ran out a two-length victory over Mac Five in the five-year-old geldings maiden aboard Border Trader.

The six & seven-year-old maiden saw an impressive winner in By My Side, the six-year-old son of Brush Aside cruised to the front after the third last and kept on well from the last to score by eight lengths under Gordon Elliott.

The concluding division of the six and seven-year-old geldings maiden was won by Sketrick in the hands of Aaron Stronge.
