Milestone for Allen

It was a memorable weekend for Darragh Allen who registered his 50th point-to-point winner aboard Rock On Harry at Ballyvodock for handler Michelle Gannon.

Allen who has been riding since 2012, registered his first winner aboard Lenamore Boy for Denis O’Herlihy at Ballindenisk in November 2014.

He has been pretty successful on the southern circuit having struck up good relationship with Terence O’Brien who has provided him with 12 winners.

The 2018/19 and 2019/20 campaigns were his most successful season to date where he rode a career-best of nine winners, he looks well capable of bettering this with seven winners already on the board.

One of his most notable winners to date was aboard Ask For Glory in a four-year-old maiden at Bartlemy who was sold subsequently sold for £280,000.
