RIP | Oliver Adlum

We were very sorry to learn of the passing of jockey Oliver Adlum who passed away earlier this month.

Adlum had four rides in point-to-points all aboard The Bonnie Glen in 2020 for handlers Leslie Young and Pat Doyle.

The Bonnie Glen raced in the colours of his Mum Sinéad Delaney.

Oliver who worked with Leslie Young on and off for over 12 months remarked; ‘That he was a top class fella, as sound as they come. He was very interested and enthusiastic about horses.  He got himself a horse The Bonnie Glen that he rode a few times in point-to-points. He was a good rider as well now.’

‘He also worked for a time with John Ryan who is also based in Templemore.  He would have done plenty of hunting in his early teens too with the Suir Vales.’

‘It’s very sad, it came as a great shock to us all.’

Our thoughts are with his parents, Sinéad and Thomas, sisters Abigail and Isabella and brother Harry and all his family and friends.
