Good Bye Sam scores at Tramore

The Waterford Hunt Fundraiser Hunters Chase at Tramore on Monday evening was claimed Willie Mullins trained Good Bye Sam.

The six-year-old was guided to victory by the winning trainers son Patrick Mullins, the pair were outpaced slightly three out, but he responded well to pressure to join leaders once again approaching the straight.

The son of Samum picked up well from the last to get up and deny the Sean Doyle trained Er Dancer by half a length.

The favourite had shown plenty of promise on his latest two starts, in particular his performance behind Billaway at Naas in February, when only beaten four and half lengths on his first start in a hunter’s chase.
