Sunday’s point-to-point at Tattersalls, which had attraced the largest entry of the season with 164 entries, was cancelled due to a lack of ambulance cover.

Initially a delay was announced to the start of racing whilst contact was tried to be made with the ambulance providers, however it the became clear that they would not be arriving at the Co. Meath course.

This led to the cancellation of the fixture with ten runners having been declared for the opening four-year-old mares’ maiden, whilst the four-year-old geldings’ maiden was due to be divided having received a total of 24 declarations.

We await news of any potential rescheduling of the fixture.

The day’s other card at Ballycrystal was successfully completed, and it included a first training success for Brian Lawless in the opener with Lola De Magny.
