UK Point-to-Point Round Up | 11th & 12th May

Former Irish pointers recorded an impressive 24 successes over the weekend, we take a look a closer at the stand out winners look below.

LOWER MACHEN
 
The Roger Wilcox-trained Flash Klass scored success by a length in the open maiden for four, five and six year olds at Lower Machen.

This was the four-year-old son of Coastal Path's first run in UK points. The chestnut has just one other run to his name running earlier this spring in Irish point-to-points when under the care of Pat Doyle.

In the hands of Derek O'Connor, Flash Klass finished fifth on his debut in the four-year-old maiden at Punchestown.  
 
PEPER HAROW

Stage One recorded a comprehensive 15-length victory when taking the conditions race at Peper Harow for Alan Hill and Daniel Cherriman. The success mark the eight-year-olds second success of the season.

Warren Ewing started off the King's Theatre gelding's career back in March 2015, the big bay got off the mark in the four-year-old maiden at Lisronagh at the second time of asking.  
 
CHADDESLEY CORBETT

Black Jack Rover is yet another former Irish pointer to win by a convincing margin last weekend. The Loraine Homer-trained gelding recorded a 15-length success in the club members novice riders race at Chaddesley Corbett.

The Vinnie Roe gelding won his debut at Tinahely back in 2014 for Colin Bowe before Donald McCain subsequently purchased the bay for £40,000. McCain enjoyed numerous placings and two wins under rules with the gelding before going pointing in the UK.

EASINGWOLD

Buck Dancing scored his third UK pointing success in the conditions race by a distance of nine lengths at Easingwold for trainer Jessica Bedi.

The King's Theatre gelding started his career in the hands of Patrick Kelly, winning his four-year-old debut at Lisronagh in 2013. The gelding enjoyed a long and successful track career until he began point-to-pointing in the UK this season. 
 
GARTHORPE
 
Rivercourt Guy originally started his career under the care of Seamus Neville, running just twice in Irish points last season. The son of Mahler began pointing in the UK this season for David Kemp and recorded his first success in the open maiden by a comprehensive 25 lengths.
