UNITED HUNT (F) at Ballindenisk on 05th Jan 2019
First Race: 12:30
Number of Entries: 64
Admission: Adults: €8
The course is situated on the farm of Robert Fell and has been the home to point-to-points since 1926.
Ballindenisk has also been home to some of the countries leading three-day events, while also playing host to other equestrian disciplines from Polo Cross to Show Jumping and Carriage Driving.
Over the years Ballindenisk has produced many top class horses that have gone on to sell for large amounts of money in the UK sales. These include Conna Castle, Native Jack, Artic Copper and Awbeg Prince.
With the day forecasted dry for Sunday, organisers are hopeful of a decent turnout and Barry Fitzgerald updated us on how preparations are going.
“Everything is perfect for the weekend. We are happy with the ground, it hasn’t rained in the last fortnight, so we were delighted with the rain last night, the ground is soft at the moment.
“Along with the usual food outlets we are doing a hospitality tent which will be run by the local primary school and we are hoping for a good days racing.”
