Weekend Preview | Dungarvan 26th January

Race 1 - The Country Store (Conor Lannen) & GAIN Equine Nutrition 5yo Mares Maiden

WHERES BUNNY has had the misfortune of parting company with her rider in each of her two outings to date, including most recently when coming down late at Borris House when destined to make the frame in an effort which would leave her as a leading contender for this.

Fashion Nova would have finished behind her at Borris so has to turn the tables with her on that run, whilst Lady KK, Idsayso and Annie Day complete the other dangers.

Race 2 - Tom Curran - Topline 5yo Geldings Maiden

IL COURRA
stayed on strongly when coming from off the pace to finish third at Lingstown on his debut in November and it may not take much further improvement to get his head in front here.

Erne River has yet to finish out of the placings following two encouraging efforts already this season, whilst runner-up Minella Drama, and Fix The Bill, a horse that finished second in a P2P Bumper at Barbury, are others for the shortlist.

Race 3 - Bridgie Terrie Pub & Restaurant 6yo+ Mares Maiden

SHANAVOUN LADY brings the strongest form into this contest, courtesy of her fine second at Borris House before Christmas, a race which received a timely form boost when the fifth ran out a wide-margin winner at Ballycrystal just last Sunday.

Rosy Story could well be her big danger as she has made the frame in each of her three outings this season, to ensure she would not be a surprise winner of this, whilst Messenger Girl is another to have run respectably in the past.

Race 4 - Al Eile Stud 5yo+ Confined Maiden (Nov Rdrs)

COMERAGH LAD, who is also entered in the concluding race on this card, brings the strongest recent form into this on account of the big improvement he displayed when chasing home Mr Bercow at Ballindenisk earlier in the month.

Of the others, Champions Hill got within seven lengths in a four-year-old maiden at Dromahane on his debut, and whilst not repeating that since, he did offer promise at Kinsale in November to ensure he enters the mix.

Race 5 - Tom Fleming, Equine Dentist Mares Open

CHAPTER TWO has been contesting some top class open races of late, and now back against her own sex, she could gain her first success since winning over hurdles at Cork in May 2018.

Rosfoyle, an early casualty at Clonmel recently, had finished behind Chapter Two at Lisronagh in the Autumn, and so has form to overturn with the selection, whilst Gabrielleamee and Dubai Daisy have solid hopes.

Race 6 - Murrays Family Pharmacy 6yo+ Geldings Maiden

ONE MORE LIFE features in older maiden company for the first time in his career, and it should provide him with the opportunity to gain a deserved success following two previous placed efforts.

One For The Yard was only reeled in late at Aghabullogue and is a big danger, alongside Comeragh Lad who took a big step forward at Ballindenisk earlier this month.
