Winners keep coming for Jet Away as Brandy Love makes 200,000

The winners continued to flow for Arctic Tack-based stallion Jet Away, when Bring The Action made a winning debut at Tinahely on Sunday to take his total number of winners this month to three from just four runners.

Trained by Denis Paul Murphy, the four-year-old led from before the second-last on his way to recording an easy two-length victory in the four-year-old maiden, a race that was run at a decent gallop in testing conditions, with only three runners completing.

Following the victory, Murphy stated that the gelding would be sales bound and he should have a bright future ahead of him on the track.

Jet Away’s first two winners came the weekend earlier with Supreme Jet and Brandy Love scoring at Oldtown and Craigmore.

Having created a big impression when she beat the boys at Cragmore, Brandy Love has now joined the Willie Mullins stable to continue her career, after Harold Kirk saw off Tom Malone with a final bid of £200,000 for the filly at the Tattersalls Cheltenham February Sale on Friday afternoon.

“We always buy fillies as there’s a great programme for them in England and Ireland now,” said Kirk.

“She’s a brilliant jumper, a fabulous jumper, so hopefully she’ll jump fences one day. She showed a lot of class against the geldings.

“I didn’t think we’d have to give that much for her, but, to me, she’s the best racehorse here today. Hopefully she’ll be back here running in the fillies’ chase.”
