Weekend Preview: Tattersalls 6th December

The Louth Foxhounds point-to-point at Tattersalls has attracted a large entry of 125 for their meeting on Sunday 6th December.

The Denis Murphy team look to have a strong hand in the four-year-old geldings maiden with the stable companions Garde Des Champs and Captain Quint.

Compas Stallions  – 4YO Mares Maiden

WEST BALBOA ran a big race on her debut at Dromahane in the same maiden that her handler Aidan Fitzgerald sent out the talented Queens Brook a year earlier. With that opening effort under her belt she would look the one to beat here. Sister Raphael was not too far away on her debut at Tinahely last month and would certainly look like a contender, alongside the Lisronagh third Sevenofus and Doyen La Lutte who finished behind West Balboa in that Dromahane race last month.

My Dream Boat – 4YO Geldings Maiden

The Denis Murphy team would look to have a strong hand in this contest with the stable companions Garde Des Champs and CAPTAIN QUINT (pictured above). The former has twice finished second and is certainly knocking on the door with the latter likely the horse to beat in this on account of his Tinahely debut last month where he finished second to an above average looking winner in a race where the pair pulled clear. Git Maker is another with two consecutive placed efforts to his name, whilst Brorson and Ruling De Roost represent yards that had winners last week.

Tattersalls Ireland November NH Sale - 5YO Mares Maiden

JUSTWEST caught the eye on her debut when she came up against the more experienced Kates Hill at Kirkistown and her conqueror from that day has already franked the form in winners company. Lecale Lass has changed yards since a slightly disappointing effort at Damma House last month. She had seemed unlucky when taken out at Moira before that and therefore has to be respected, whilst All Loved Up has run two similar races this terms and should not be too far away.

Declan Gannon Building Ltd – 5YO Geldings Maiden

KEEP EM LIT has not been seen since chasing home Askinvillar at Kirkistown just over 12 months ago and if back in that level of form he could make a winning return here. Coothill has long been knocking on the door, whilst Robinstown clearly acts well around here as he posted a career best at this venue in October when second in the race won by Dunboyne.

Tatteralls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial - Winner Of One

OUTSIDE THE RING seemed to win with a bit in hand at Kirkistown last month having previously chased home the talented subsequent winner Ask DMan at Portrush. That is strong form coming into this race and he looks the one to beat. There would seem to be more to come from First Preference following his Knockmullen House success and he remains very unexposed, whilst Cut Pretender and Current Mood are two recent maiden winners who can also have an impact in this.

Colorman 6YO Maiden (Novice Riders)

JEREMY CENTRAL has a perfect record of four consecutive second placed finishes and this could be a good opportunity for him to have his consistency rewarded with a very deserving maiden success. Hollybank King would look to be the alternative as he overcame an absence of over a year to finish second at Tinahely last month when only caught in the dying strides, whilst the improving Gonaway was only three lengths behind the selection at Borris House last Sunday and can get involved here again.
