Full field declared for Clonmel Hunters Chase

The rescheduled Rathronan Maiden Hunter Chase at Clonmel saw a full field of 17 declared for the race which includes three reserves.

Among the final line-up is the recent Limerick Hunter Chase runner-up Super Citizen (pictured above) for handler Eugene O’Sullivan.

The seven-year-old represents the combination of the unrelated Eugene and Alurie O’Sullivan who were successful last March in the Cheltenham Foxhunters, and was last seen chasing home the Foxhunters-fourth Staker Wallace at Limerick.

A number of this seasons winners in the pointing fields also feature in the line-up, including Templebredin, who is the only other horse to have won in open company following his success at Boulta before Christmas.

Arctic Comet and Fiston Du Mou complete the other last time out winners among the 17 declared.

The re-scheduled Clonmel meeting takes place on Tuesday 19th January.  To full the full declarations, please click here.
