Closing date for Downpatrick Hunters Chase

Entries for the Molson Coors Hunters Chase at Downpatrick on Friday 21st May close on Monday 17th May at 12 noon. 

Declarations to run must be made by 10am on Wednesday 19th May.

Winner will receive €6,000 (Penalty Value: €5,900) Second will receive €2,000 Third will receive €1,000 Fourth will receive €500 Fifth will receive €300 Sixth will receive €200 

A steeplechase for † Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have not won more than one Steeplechase confined to Certified Hunters and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase or in a Point-to-Point Steeplechase in Ireland between 7th October, 2017 and 16th May, 2021

€80 to enter, €20 extra if declared to run

Mares allowed ............................................. 7lbs 

Penalty - (to count from 1st January, 2019) Winner of a steeplechase ..................... 7lb extra 

Exclusions - Horses that have won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing other than (a) Farmers Races or (b) Certified Hunters Steeplechases. 

Riders: Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. † A Hunters Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2020/2021 season for each horse engaged must be lodged at the Office of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, not later than 14th May, 2021 or the horse is not qualified to start.
