Career milestone for Shane ORourke

It was a day to remember for Wexford native Shane O’Rourke who registered his 50th point-to-point winner aboard First Preference for trainer Vincent Devereux.

O’Rourke has been enjoying a successful season with eight winners already on the board, which equals his previous best season in 2014-15. 
 
The Wexford native started his career between the flags during the 2006 and 2007 season, it was during the 2008 and 2009 season that he was first off the mark when winning aboard the family owned and trained Ebony Thyne at Dungarvan in 2009. 
 
He has struck up a successful relationship with Vincent Devereux who has provided him with over 20 winners. 
 
O’Rourke has also been associated with other successful Wexford operations including Colin Bowe, Cormac Doyle and Ellen Doyle.
