Closing date for Fairyhouse Hunters Chase & P2P Bumper

The re-scheduled Fairyhouse Hunters Chase and Point-to-Point bumper will now take place on Friday 24th November.

Entries close on Monday 20th November, with declarations to be made by 10am Wednesday 22nd November.

The INHSC Supporting Point-To-Points Hunters Steeplechase of €10,000

Winner will receive €6,000 (Penalty Value: €5,900) Second will receive €2,000, Third will receive €1,000, Fourth will receive €500, Fifth will receive €300, Sixth will receive €200

A steeplechase for † Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have not won more than two Steeplechases confined to Certified Hunters and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase or in a Point-to-Point Steeplechase in Ireland between 19th September, 2020 and 19th November, 2023

Riders: Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules
All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate.

A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2023/2024 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 17th November or the horse will not be qualified to start.

The IHRB have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season.
HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply.

(i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-To-Point steeplechase since 25th September, 2021.

(ii) The number of horses declared will be then reduced by balloting those horses that have not won more than one Point-To-Point steeplechase since 25th September, 2021.

(iii) In the event of Paragraphs (i) and (ii) not achieving the recommended limit a random ballot will then be applied to the remaining horses.
