IHRB Point to Point Stewards Enquiry United Hunt (F) Lisgoold Point to Point Meeting Saturday 11th January 2025
The Acting Stewards interviewed Mr A. Harney, rider of Liberte Des Obeaux, placed third, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of the 5yo Mares Maiden.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 58. 3.(i) in that he had used the whip without allowing his mount at least three strides to respond. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Acting Stewards suspended Mr A. Harney for two Point to Point racedays.
