IHRB Point to Point Stewards Enquiry

Route (H) Point to Point Meeting Saturday 11 October 2025

The Acting Stewards enquired into an incident after the start of the Winners Of Three involving Longhouse Star, ridden by Ms N. Lockhead Anderson and Weespoof, ridden by Mr N. McParlan, where it appeared interference may have occurred.

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Ms Lockhead Anderson said that in her opinion, Mr McParlan took no appropriate measure to prevent his mount from interfering with her mount.

Mr McParlan said that his mount tried to bite the other horse, he also added that his mount had won 7 days previously (4 October) during which he was hanging from the start.

Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were of the opinion that Mr McParlan was in breach of Regulation 32 by riding improperly and suspended him for 3 Point to Point racedays.
