Eoin Mahon made his point-to-point debut aboard Paurick O'Connor's Skyalani at Loughrea in October 2013, but he had to wait three years before registering his initial winner in the sphere which came courtesy of the Sam Curling-trained Abigail Lynch at Rathcannon in October 2016. In recent seasons, Mahon has benefitted from the backing of O'Connor's brother Derek and Ian McCarthy, which propelled him to a career-best season of 17 winners during the 2024/25 campaign, with McCarthy also supplying him with a Punchestown Festival winner courtesy of Fountain House in the Bishopscourt Cup.
