WEEKEND PREVIEW: Largy (Saturday)

Race 1: Dennison Commercials Ltd 4yo Geldings Maiden

Newcomers dominate this big field contest, but of those with previous experience behind them, it may be worth following the Philip Dempsey-trained Presentandcounting who finished third over the shorter 2m4f trip at Punchestown in February. Winged Leader is another to have filled the third spot on debut which came at Dromahane and he is sure to improve from that.

Race 2: Albert Bartlett 5yo Geldings Maiden

GUN MERCHANT was sent off as the favourite for his debut at Durrow last month and he only found the one horse too good on that occasion, suggesting that he is close to a maiden success. He is one of four last time out seconds amongst the entries for this, with James Boru, Ratfacemcdougall, Far Destination all worthy of a spot on the shortlist alongside the consistent place performer Shanroe Al C.

Race 3: Killultagh Hunt Supporters 5yo+ Adjacent Maiden

RATFACEMCDOUGALL has filled the runners-up spot on both of his two outings to date which have both come in competitive heats that have worked out well subsequently. The step back into adjacent company for the first time can be rewarded. His stable companions Golan Warrior and Far Destination are notable dangers, alongside the consistent So Rustic.

Race 4: Tughans Mares Winner Of Three

CORELLA CREEK stamped her authority on a competitive mares open field at Loughanmore on her return to the pointing fields and she would certainly have to be fancied to pick-up a fourth success in this. Ask Mary has been working her way up through the ranks with three back-to-back success ensuring that she has to be respected ahead of what could be her toughest assignment, whilst Cloudy Day is a mare who thrives on winter ground and was second in a hunter chase at Cork over Easter.

Race 5: Stonebridge Premium Feeds Open

The Pat Doyle yard has taken all before them in recent weeks and his stable star SYDNEY PAGET goes in search of a mighty seventh win on the bounce as he looks to further tighten his grip on the champion point-to-point horse prize. Stable companion Samanntom really put it up to Grade 1 Cheltenham Festival winner Uxizandre in the Barbour Cup earlier in the month in a cracking run, whilst Eddies Miracle, a mid-race casualty over the national fences at Aintree last week is a three-time winner this season and sure put up a big showing.

Race 6: McKinstry Skip Hire 6yo+ Geldings Maiden (Nov Rdrs)

NO MORE SANTIES has been running well in recent times and could have the opportunity to get his head in front in this contest. Watyawaitingfor has not been able to follow-up his Tyrella second in two subsequent starts, but if ground conditions are more in his favour here, he could certainly not be ruled out along with Military Road and Drumconnor, who are others to have made the placings in previous outings.
