Entries for the Hunters Chase and point-to-point bumpers at Tipperary on Thursday 9th May close on Thursday 2nd May at 12 noon. 

Entries to run must be made by 10am on Tuesday 7th May.

An I.N.H. flat race for four years old and upwards mares only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing and which have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Point-to-Point steeplechase in Ireland or run in two or more Point-to-Point steeplechases in Ireland between 1st October, 2023 and 1st May, 2024

All horses which run in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. 

† A Hunters Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2023/2024 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Office of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 1st May, 2024 or the horse will not be qualified to start. N.B. The IHRB have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters' Certificates for the remainder of the Point-to-Point season. 

HRI Directive 10 is suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedure will be used for elimination and balloting of horses. 

(i) The number of horses declared will be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not finished first, second, third or fourth in a Point-to-Point steeplechase since 1st October, 2023. 

(ii) The number of horses declared will then be reduced by balloting those horses that have not won a Point-to-Point steeplechase since 1st October, 2023. 

(iii) In the event of Paragraphs (i) and (ii) not achieving the recommended limit a random ballot will then be applied to the remaining horses. 

(The winning owner in this race will receive a €5,000 bonus (€7,500 bonus if Irish bred) should the winning filly be eligible for the Weatherbys Ireland/I.T.B.A. N.H. Fillies Bonus Scheme)
