In the case of horses from Great Britain, Hunters Certificates must have been duly registered at the Racing Calendar Office.
The IHRB have modified the relevant Rules to permit horses for which Hunters Certificates have been registered and which are eligible to run in Hunters Steeplechases in Great Britain to run in this race. However, horses with a Hunters Certificate that have run in any race other than a Hunters Steeplechase since 1st December, 2023 are excluded. A person who is registered as a current Keeper with the British Horseracing Authority may enter and run a horse in this race.
An I.N.H. flat race for four years old and upwards that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing and which have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Point-to-Point steeplechase in Ireland or run in two or more Point-to-Point steeplechases in Ireland between 1st October, 2023 and 19th May, 2024

All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2023/2024 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 17th May or the horse will not be qualified to start. The IHRB have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2023/2024 season.
HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply. (i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-To-Point steeplechase since 1st October, 2023. (ii) The number of horses declared will be then reduced by balloting those horses that have not won more than one Point-To-Point steeplechase since 1st October, 2023. (iii) In the event of Paragraphs (i) and (ii) not achieving the recommended limit a random ballot will then be applied to the remaining horses.
