IHRB Point to Point Stewards Enquiry Carbery (F) Clonakilty Point to Point Meeting Sunday 25 May 2025.
The Acting Stewards interviewed Mr B. Finn, rider of Practice Run, placed third, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of the Winners Of Two race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Acting Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 58. 3.(i) in that he had used the whip without allowing or appearing to allow his mount at least three strides to respond.
Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Acting Stewards suspended Mr B. Finn for two Point to Point racedays.
