Video Archives | Loughbrickland 2002

Over the coming weeks, we will be adding videos to some of the old point-to-point fixtures that we have on file.  The next year we are adding videos from is the 2002 season.

The next meeting to be added to the video archives is the County Down Staghounds point-to-point at Loughbrickland.

Below is a re-cap of what happened on the day.

Miss Orla and Davy Russell took the opening five and six-year-old mares maiden at the County Down Staghounds point-to-point at Loughbrickland.

The four and five-year-old geldings maiden provided spectators with a thrilling finish with What If and Peter Buchanan just holding off Ah Yeah and Leo Gracey.

Division two of the five-year-old geldings maiden was won in good style by Sonny Liston and Brian Hamilton.

It was a quick race double for Brian Hamilton after landing the winners of two contest aboard Ammieanne.

False Tail supplied Davy Russell with his second winner of the afternoon when landing the Open Lightweight.

Liam Lennon entered the winners’ enclosure aboard Shantilly Way, after the pair ran out a 12-length winner of the seven-year-old and upwards mares maiden.

Division of the six-year-old and upwards maiden was won in good style by Dalfield in the hands of Peter Buchanan.

The concluding division of the six-year-old and upwards maiden was won by Florida Love and Paddy Young.
