SHES SO LOVELY took a notable step forward when she finished second at Moig South last month and having proven that she is adept at handing testing conditions, she sets the benchmark here. Judys Girl finished second on that same card and would seem to be her biggest rival as that was just her first competed effort and she is entitled to improve from it.

BIG SHANGHAI travelled particularly well on his racing debut at Mainstown at the beginning of December and having run a fine race to finish second beaten just over a length, he sets the benchmark here. Stable companion Casey West is well related, and he looked like he would play a big role in the outcome on his debut at Moig South only to slip up on the home bend. He appeared to handle conditions well on that occasion. Of the dangers from outside of the Colin Bowe yard, Cam Belan would look the biggest threat as he was only beaten six lengths when third at Dromahane.

ON THE SOD (pictured above) has yet to meet with defeat having won each of his five starts to date including his first foray into open company at Kirkistown in November. That saw him get the measure of the potentially reopposing Lite Duties and he will be expected to confirm those placings here. the former capable handicapper Bellow Mome acquitted himself well on his open debut at Stradbally last month and should improve following what was his first run for some time, as did his former stablemate Killultagh Vic when running at Mainstown, whilst Er Dancer ran well to finish second at Dromahane on his first step into open grade.

COULD BE TROUBLE was holding every chance at Boulta last month when coming down at the final fence with victory within his grasp. She could well gain compensation here. Lady Dabbler only went down by a neck at Kinsale on what was her first start for Andrew Latta, whilst Judys Girl, who is also entered earlier on the card stepped up to finish second at Moig South before Christmas in a race where there might not be separating this trio.
All Plast Engineering Ltd Winner Of Two
BARROWLANDS has already proven himself in this grade as his connections bypassed maiden company when pitching him in at winners level for his debut which he duly won at his leisure in Boulta. This could be an ideal race to double up. Fiston Du Mou, who is also entered at Tinahely, is the obvious threat if lining up here courtesy of his Dromahane success, whilst another Dromahane winner, First Touch, cannot be discounted.

CLONMEEN may have benefitted from a final-fence faller on his debut at Ballindenisk at the end of November, however he still finished a fine second behind a more experienced and proven rival and could step up to take this. Aces Full disappointed at Moig South following an unlucky defeat at Rathcannon, whilst the experienced Dr Shirocco, Truckers Tangle, Different Strokes and Goodwillhunting are others in the mix.
