Programme of races published for Fairyhouse point-to-point weekend
The Irish National Hunt Steeplechase Committee have published the programme of races for the two-day Meath (F) & Tara (H) point-to-points at Fairyhouse Racecourse on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th April.
The following programme of races have been scheduled for Saturday 17th:
4YO Auction Maiden*
4YO Geldings Maiden
5YO Mares Maiden
5YO Geldings Maiden
The following programme of races have been scheduled for Sunday 18th:
4YO Mares Maiden
4YO Geldings Maiden
5YO Mares Maiden
5YO Geldings Maiden
All races will be run over three miles and entries will be taken on p2p.ie - closing date for entries Tuesday April 13th at 12 noon
*Auction races for four-year-old maidens will be restricted to horses which have been sold or bought in by public auction under the hammer at a recognised National Hunt Store sale in Ireland or Great Britain in 2020 as an unraced three-year-old.
(For the avoidance of doubt horses which are unsold having failed to reach their reserves do not qualify, nor do private sales.)
(i) The "recognised National Hunt Store sales" referred to above for these races in 2020 comprise of the following:-
The Goffs Land Rover Sale, The Goffs UK Spring Store Sale (The Goffs UK Supplementary Store Sale and Goffs UK Summer Sale in 2020), The Tattersalls Ireland May Store Sale, The Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale and the Tattersalls Ireland August Sale.
(ii) The first sale will govern the price if the horse is sold more than once in 2020 (exclusions - horses which have been sold or bought in by public auction under the hammer at any of the above sales for more than the highest permitted price specified in the race conditions).
(iii) Confined to horses who have been purchased at the above sales in 2020 for €25,000 or less.
(iv) In the case of any dispute the official sale return will be used to determine the validity of the sale. The Stewards of the I.N.H.S. Committee will be the final arbiters of qualification for entry.
(v) Any sale conducted outside the sales ring (private sale) will not be considered to qualify the horse to run in these races.

2020 British Pound €1.18
All essential attendees must complete health screening by clicking on ‘Point to Point Health Screening’ on the IHRB website, www.ihrb.ie from 9am Thursday April 15th until 8pm on Friday April 16th and produce a valid barcode to gain admittance to each event.
Only essential staff will be permitted entry, and this will be strictly enforced - only 1 groom per horse plus the Handler or representative will be allowed access. No Owners, Spectators or Children will be permitted.
The venues and full schedule of races for Point to Point fixtures on the week ending 24th/25th April will be released as soon as the venues have been confirmed.
Relevant Hunters Certificates for horses to run on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th April must be lodged at the Office of the I.N.H.S.C no later than 10a.m. on Monday 12th April.
Remember over the coming weeks when attending a point-to-point:
- A face covering must be worn at all times.
- Ensure 2m Social Distancing.
- Use the hand sanitiser provided regularly throughout the day.
- Do not travel to a point-to-point if you develop a cough, flu symptoms or a high temperature.
