INHSC introduce race for handlers with ten winners or less

In a new initiative for the 2021 autumn campaign, a race has been programmed at the Golden Vale Foxhounds fixture which is limited to those handlers who have not trained more than ten winners in their career.

The sport already has novice rider races in place for those riders who have ridden less than 15 winners, but this will be a first whereby the conditions set a restriction for the number of winners trained by an individual handler.

The race will be five-year-old and upwards maiden and is set to take place at Turtulla on November 21st.

The winning owner in the race will receive a bonus of €3,000 in addition to the race’s standard prize money, with a trophy also set to be presented to the winning handler. This has been sponsored by the INHSC.

It is not the only bonus prize that is up for grabs during the autumn term with €1,000 to be won in two older maiden races between now and September.

The INHSC is offering the winning owner of the six-year-old and upwards maidens at Ballycrystal on October 31st, and Corbeagh House on December 12th, a bonus of €1,000.
