Vaucelet Impresses in Joseph OReilly

Vaucelet justified favouritism when running out an emphatic winner of the Joseph O’Reilly memorial hunters chase at Fairyhouse in the hands of Jamie Codd.

The son of Authorised won his first hunters chase of the season at the same track back in November when defeating Snugsborough Benny.

Codd had the David Christie trained individual settled in third behind the leaders, he made smooth progress to be on terms entering and the pair asserted before the last and stayed on strongly on the run-in to beat Aloneamongmillions by 20 lengths.

The seven-year-old carries the colours of John Hegarty and Jennifer O’Kane, he has now notched up four winners this season.
