RIP | Edward O'Driscoll

We were very sorry to learn of the passing of Edward O’Driscoll, who died peacefully in the presence of his family on June 18th.

Edward was known to many on the point-to-point circuit having owned the Cheltenham Foxhunters Winner Whyso Mayo.

He was also a longstanding member of the Carbery Hunt point-to-point committee.

Our deepest sympathies to his wife Kathleen, children Caroline, Pauline, Maeve, Mark and Jillian and to his extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Edward (Ed) O'Driscoll, Bandon, Cork

O'Driscoll (Bandon) on June 18th 2024, peacefully in the presence of his family. Edward (Ed), absolutely devoted and dearly loved husband of 68 years of Kathleen (nee Holland), much loved and fantastic father to Caroline, Pauline, Maeve, Mark, Jillian and the late P.J. and his cherished grandchildren Valerie, Adrienne, Emer, Edward, Thomas, April, Faith, Dylan, Calum, Éabha, Aisling and Réiltín.
 
Edward will be lovingly remembered by these and by his daughters-in-law Miriam and Linda, sons-in-law Basil (Blennerhassett) and Sean (Devereux) all of whom he enthusiastically welcomed as great additions to our family. Sadly missed by his brother Barry and sister Marie (Shutte). Predeceased by his siblings Helen (Lel) and P.J. (Pat).
 
Mourned by his loving family and friends, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
 
Edward will be lying in repose at The Retreat (eircode P72XN70) on Friday from 4pm followed by prayers at 7pm.
 
Removal on Saturday from The Retreat at 1pm to St. Patrick's Church, Bandon for Requiem Mass at 2pm which will be livestreamed on www.bandonparish.ie/live/, interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.
 
Family flowers only, donations in lieu to St. Vincent de Paul Society Bandon.
