Thomas Reilly made his point-to-point debut at Tyrella in March 2008, just over a year before he recorded his first winner in the sphere at Taylorstown in April 2009 aboard Bold Ali. He has ridden for the likes of Sean Gallagher, Tom McCourt, Liam Lennon and Tracy Reilly in recent years, with his first success under rules coming for John McConnell, aboard Fourknocks in a Downpatrick Bumper in August 2016. In April 2021, Reilly joined the professional ranks.
