Ben Crawford has been one of the leading riders on the northern circuit for a number of seasons, and is from a successful racing family, with brothers Steven and Stuart, well-known for their abilities as an amateur jockey and trainer respectively. Crawford went on to have his first winner aboard Segnor Du Charmil in 2009 and 15 winners during the 2011/12 season saw him share the northern title with Derek O'Connor, a tally he would better by two winners 12 months later. During the 2018 campaign, he rode no fewer than two horses to victory that sold for over £200,000 - namely Malone Road (£325,000) and The Very Man (£210,000).
