John Kirwan made his point-to-point debut aboard Captain Winterbe at Ballindenisk in December 2019 for Dermot O'Brien and it was for Dungarvan trainer Declan Queally that an opening success came aboard Lord Schnitzel at Loughrea in October 2021. Queally also supplied Kirwan with first winner under rules at Ballinrobe in August 2020 when Windsor Vixen landed a Handicap Hurdle. Kirwan joined the professional ranks in summer 2022.
