Sunday’s point-to-point at Aghabullogue has been postponed following the passing of former Cork & Waterford point-to-point association and Aghabullogue point-to-point committee chairman Jack Murphy.
Mr Murphy has long been a leading figure within point-to-pointing on the Cork and Waterford circuit and his passing is a significant loss to the point-to-point community in the area.
Survived by his sons Tim and John, Jack will be laid to rest on Saturday at 2.30pm in St. John’s Church, Aghabullogue and the service can be viewed online here.

The Aghabullogue fixture will now take place on Saturday, January 15th with original entries standing and it will now be one of three fixtures taking place next weekend, with racing on Sunday, January 16th at Carrigarostig and Turtulla.
