PREVIEW | Laois (F) at Stradbally - Sunday

Race 1 - Goffs UK Spring Sale 5yo Geldings Maiden

NEBLIN chased home two more experienced types on his debut at Loughanmore on Easter Saturday and could be the one to side with here as that debut effort should certainly stand to him. Lucky Zebo was not able to take a step forward from his Lisronagh debut when re-appearing a fortnight ago in Stowlin but is still likely to be in the mix once again alongside his stablemate the Dawston-third Dr Lockdown and Lock Out, The Butler Yeats, Sea Prince and Raffles Wonder.

Race 2 - Allen Dairy Services Winner Of Two

CRUTCHES LAD previously won a winners race at this venue back in 2019 and whilst he has been without a win since, he started the season with two very solid efforts behind Lord Schnitzel and Ask DMan at Kildorrery and Corbeagh House and should have conditions back in his favour here following a break. Eric Carmen is also proven around here having defeated the subsequent Largy winner Tara Line last month, and he is one of two last time out maiden winners in this with The Galahad Kid having taken a notable step forward to get his head in front for the first time at Dromahane at the beginning of the month.

Race 3 - Tattersalls NH 5yo+ Adjacent Maiden

DRAGON ROCK was in front of two subsequent winners when finishing second at Ballynoe back in March, and with that form having been boosted in the weeks following the race it would be hard to look away from the now twice-placed Shantou gelding. Robert Dores has acquitted himself reasonably well in stronger races to date and should be able to get closer on the drop into adjacent maiden company, whilst the sales bound Offaly Star is surely capable of producing a better performance than on his debut in this sphere at Dromahane last month having finished placed off a mark of 91 over hurdles last summer.

Race 4 - The Lalor Family Mares Open

THE FORGE HILL enhanced her record around here when defeating the subsequent British point victor Isaac Wonder at this venue last month to follow-up her six-length victory in this race 12 months ago. That course form is a big plus for her chances in this. La Feline has yet to finish outside of the placings in each of her 11 starts this season, including three victories and she is the obvious alternative ahead of Rose Of Coolbally who has six lengths to find on that rival from Dromahane as she bids to make amends for an unlucky final-fence departure at Largy recently.

Race 5 - Design Options 6yo+ Mares Maiden

IMPERIAL LOUGH would be a popular winner of this for her local connections having been narrowly denied in each of her last two efforts including around here last month. Final-fence errors have proven costly for her in both of those defeats, but a clean round of jumping should see her rewarded. Chitchat Sally has long been knocking on the door and certainly will not be too far away having been placed five times this season, whilst Finding Fame, Banbas Crown and the point returnee Short Story Long are others with claims.

Race 6 - Centrepoint Carpets 6yo+ Geldings Maiden (Nov Rdrs)

The twice placed Dragon Rock has an easier alternative in the adjacent maiden earlier in the card and if he was to take up that alternative engagement, preference in this would go to SEPARATE WAYS. He was still very much in contention when coming down at the fourth last, on what was his first run in four months having finished second at Borris House before Christmas. That form would be good enough to take this if he could post a clean round, with jumping errors having blotted his season. Road To The Weir put up his best effort to date at Quakerstown and has to have chances in this again alongside Gouazec.
