Brendan Brooks had his first ride in a point-to-point aboard the Jay Tobin-trained Our Road at Ballinaboola in November 2012, and rode two winners in the following season within the space of six-days, including his first, the Sean Doyle-trained Minmoregold at Tinahely in March 2014. Following a spell both in the professional ranks and riding in America, Brooks returned to point-to-points in Autumn 2017, before retiring from race-riding and is now a part of the James & Ellen Doyle team.
